The situation
A submission arrives as an email with six attachments and a covering note that contradicts one of them. Somebody reads all of it, compares the wording against the schedule, and notices the endorsement that changed a sub-limit two versions ago.
Renewals stack up in the same weeks every year. Claims correspondence arrives on its own schedule and has to be read against the policy as it stood at the date of loss, not as it stands today.
What arrives
Read against the version in force at the relevant date. Where two documents disagree, the conflict is raised rather than resolved quietly.
Integrations →Three roles teams start with
Checking wording against a schedule is reading work. Deciding whether something is covered is not, and the two are kept apart deliberately.
Cover and coverage stay with a person
Nothing binds, quotes, accepts or declines cover autonomously. No coverage position is communicated, and no claim is accepted, repudiated or settled by an AI employee, at any trust level or configuration.
Anything that could be read as regulated advice to a client is also a floor. The reading, the comparison and the assembly are done and evidenced; the judgement and the communication are a person’s.
The five levels and their floors →Read, extract, compare wording, flag mismatches, assemble renewal and claims packs, track what is outstanding.
Bind or decline cover, quote, state a coverage position, settle or repudiate a claim, or advise a client.
One record, in full
At the date of loss, the record can show which wording was in force, which endorsements applied, and what was known when a decision was taken.
Decisions and replay →What stays with your people
Underwriting judgement
Appetite, rating, terms and whether to write the risk at all. An AI employee prepares the picture and never forms the view.
Coverage decisions
Whether a loss is covered, and what is communicated to the insured. Read by a person, decided by a person, sent by a person.
Regulated advice
Anything a client acts on. Suitability and duty of care do not delegate, and nothing here pretends otherwise.
One renewal season, or one claims mailbox. Either is a real two weeks.
